On the basis of height certified by a Veterinary Surgeon, the Society may sanction:

A transfer from Section A to Section B of stock which has grown over 12 hands

A transfer from Section C to Section D of stock, which has grown over 13 hands 2 inches.

A transfer from Section D to Section C of stock, seven years old or over,
which does not exceed 13 hands 2 inches.

INTERNATIONAL REGISTERS

WSB (HOME STUD BOOK)
for pure and part-bred stallions, mares or geldings,
bred in the UK out of correctly registered parents
(or parent if welsh partbred)

OVERSEAS REGISTER (OS)
for pure and part-bred stallions, mares or geldings,
bred outside the UK from directly descended stock
of correctly exported animals

INTERNATIONAL REGISTER (IR)
a) parents both of which are registered in the IR
b) parents both of which are confirmed as being IA
c) either parent registered in the IR and the other
parent registered/entered in the WSB or OS
d) either parent confirmed as being IA and the
other parent registered/entered in the WSB or OS

INTERNATIONALLY ACCEPTABLE (IA)
An IA animal is a pony or cob which has been
verified as descending from stock correctly
exported from the UK with the appropriate Export
Certificates issued by the Society. The pony or
cob must have descended on every line of its
pedigree, irrespective of the number of generations,
from ponies or cobs registered in the WSB or
entered in its Appendix and which have been
certified by the Society as being exported.
